Hello,
My name is Rhonda Hull and I am your child's 3rd grade teacher. I am very excited, and honored, to be teaching your student this year.
Though I traveled for my education, I have called San Diego home all of my life.
I graduated from LIFE Bible College, a small private college, in San Dimas California. After graduation, I earned my teaching credential at Azusa Pacific University. Soon after earning my credential, I had the privilege of teaching second and third grade in the Covina Valley District. After a few years, I encountered a life changing event; I met a wonderful man and moved back to San Diego to get married. In San Diego, I had another great opportunity to teach third and sixth grade at Horizon Elementary School. When teaching at Horizon, I heard about a cutting edge charter school just opening up; which happened to be down the street from my house. Shortly after, I met Debbie Beyer and Jerry Keough… I quickly embraced the charter movement. I was hired to teach first grade for the second year of the charter school. I energetically taught first grade for 3 years and loved every moment. After boy number 1 came, I taught EL for two years. Later I had an opportunity to be a "stay at home mom" for 6 years. I was able to return to my love for teaching and earn a Masters degree at San Diego Christian College. I look forward to serving and teaching your child this very important third grade year.
